Salus Oculi Kenya has constructed and equipped a total of 8 Eye Units in the country

According to the Ministry of Health, preventable blindness accounts for 80% of causes of visual impairment. By providing quality and accessible health care for the visually impaired, SOK has given hope to families and communities with visually impaired persons, as they have been able to access the much-needed eye-health, which once seemed unreachable or a reserve for certain class of citizens. Eye-health care givers have also been motivated to engage in health in these communities with most need, as they have the equipment and knowledge to practice.
